During the current Lockdown starting 05-11-2020 The Hollywoof Hotel will be following guidance given by the Government and The Pet Industry Federation and will be following protocols given out by Canine & Feline Sector Group (CFSG).

Following the guidance from the CFSG we can remain open during the current lockdown.

As stated on the .gov website, “Animal grooming facilities may also stay open but must only be used for the purposes of the animal’s welfare (and not for aesthetic purposes).”…/closing-certain-businesses-and…

The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) believes that professional pet grooming is essential for a pet’s health and welfare and provides many health benefits which may not be immediately obvious. It is not undertaken for aesthetic purposes, which the dictionary defines as: concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.…/pif-statement-on-pet…

For further advice:

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic the way in which we work and groom your dogs has changed drastically. We will be adhering to the strictest advised guidelines to reduce the spread of the disease for all of our safety. It must be clearly understood that clients wishing to have their dogs groomed at this time, do so at their own risk and must agree to the terms and conditions before you come in for an appointment.

  1. Anybody self-isolating, classed as vulnerable or showing any symptoms, MUST NOT under any circumstances attend a grooming appointment.
  2. You MUST drop off/pick up at the stated time. Only one client is permitted in the salon at any given time. Times are purposely staggered to ensure the safety of each customer and allows time for a deep clean of the premises before the next appointment. Any dogs arriving late may have to be rebooked and a late fee will apply to cover loss of earnings. Uncollected dogs will be charged a sitting fee as this may result in the next client having to be postponed or even cancelled.
  3. All clients must agree to follow hygiene procedures put in place to minimise cross contamination. Clients are now responsible for their own dogs collars/harnesses leads, when dropping off and I will take the dog through for grooming on my own slip leads that will be washed after use.

  1. Please bring your dog through the first gate into the holding area. Take collars and leads/harnesses off then exit the gate. We will call your dog through the garden gate into the secure garden area. This will allow us to collect the dog using a slip lead whilst keeping a    2-metre distance.
  2. Once I have collected your dog, we can then discuss grooming requirements at a safe 2 metre distance from one another.
  3. The front door will be locked whilst grooming and unfortunately you are unable to wait on the premises or sit in the salon at this time
  4. When collecting your dog, we will let your dog through the garden gate into the holding area to meet you with their harness/collar/lead.

Many thanks for your co-operation.
